Montana State University has a long and storied past. Founded in 1893 as The Agricultural College of the State of Montana, it has undergone several name changes over the years, including The Montana College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, and Montana Agricultural College. By the 1920s, it was known as Montana State College, as represented by this design that we found on a vintage decal. In 1965, the name was changed for the last time to Montana State University in recognition of the school's many advances in research.
