Otto the Orange Syracuse Crewneck

After the previous mascots were discontinued in the late 1970s, Syracuse introduced a new and unique mascot - an orange wearing a baseball cap. The cheerleaders named him 'Otto'. From 1980 to 1990, he was simply known as 'The Orange'. The university tried to rebrand to a more traditional mascot, but Otto was so popular that he stayed.
